Growth Acceleration Partners (GAP) has introduced its AI Impact Framework, a new system designed to quantify the business outcomes of artificial intelligence implementations. This initiative aims to address a common challenge faced by organizations investing in AI: differentiating between routine AI-assisted tasks and significant advancements that enhance productivity, drive automation, or offer reusable capabilities across teams.
The framework requires employees to provide tangible evidence of AI-enabled work completed over the past six months. This evidence may include production code, custom AI agents, automated testing systems, delivery pipelines, large-scale migrations, internal tools, and reusable systems. Notably, self-reported or hypothetical AI capabilities are excluded from this assessment.
The evaluation process involves multiple agents. An evaluator initially assesses the submitted evidence, while an adversarial agent challenges unsupported claims and attributions. A referee then reviews both assessments to assign a final score. Human managers and project leaders validate the results, with any disputed assessments subject to further review.
Participants in the AI Impact Framework are classified into four AI maturity levels, ranging from limited AI integration to advanced capabilities involving the development and operation of AI agents, automated workflows, and reusable systems that have a broader organizational impact.
GAP also utilizes the framework internally to identify capability gaps and develop personalized growth plans for its employees. The company reported that by July 2026, approximately 41% of its workforce had reached Level 3, with around 48% achieving Level 2.
Overall, the AI Impact Framework is intended to establish measurable baselines, pinpoint development needs, and assist organizations in transitioning from basic AI adoption to more autonomous and impactful methods of operation.
