In a recent podcast appearance, US Vice-President JD Vance shared his perspective on his role in the world, describing his work as aligned with what he sees as “God’s work.” While contemplating the idea of the end times, Vance expressed that he remains uncertain about whether these times are imminent. He acknowledged that the end times could be far off in the future, possibly thousands of years away, or they could occur sooner than expected.
Vance touched on the notion that the Antichrist might already be present among humanity, citing what he perceives as alarming trends in modern society from a religious standpoint. One of his primary concerns is the increasing reliance on artificial intelligence in personal relationships. He criticized the use of AI as a replacement for genuine human interaction, describing this trend as “kind of satanic” and emphasizing the importance of fostering meaningful relationships between people.
The vice-president also recounted his experiences with what he terms a sense of spiritual darkness during meetings with global leaders. Certain remarks or discussions during these encounters, Vance noted, can set off what he refers to as a “spiritual alarm bell.” These experiences highlight his concerns about the spiritual state of the world and the potential signs of troubling times ahead.
Moreover, Vance came to the defense of President Donald Trump in relation to an AI-generated image depicting Trump in a Christ-like manner. Vance argued that Trump did not intend to ridicule Christianity nor did he seek to present himself as a divine figure. Instead, he characterized the image as a humorous gesture.
